Google Now automatically provides ‘cards’ providing tailored information, depending on the user and their location. Emirates will use Google Now to provide flight reminders and destination information.

Passengers who book to fly with Emirates via the carrier’s official website will automatically receive reminders about their upcoming flight and information on their destination via Google Now.

Google Now is a feature of the Google Search app that is fully integrated for use with Android and iOS devices. The Emirates Google Now service will remind passengers of their flight details, including flight times and departure terminal, and provide destination information on things such as the weather forecast, currency, local landmarks and accommodation. Passengers will have all of this information without having to ask or manually search.

Patrick Brannelly, VP Product, Publishing, Digital and Events, Emirates, said: “Emirates prides itself on constant innovation and working with technology partners that will enhance our passengers’ experience. For users who book on Emirates.com, Google Now will allow us to deliver even more pre-flight information to our customers about their destination in a very user-friendly style and we hope our passengers find it of benefit.”
