Chicago O’Hare opens Yoga Room for passengers
Passengers travelling through Chicago O’Hare International Airport can use the Yoga Room free of charge. A similar facility is expected to open at Midway International Airport soon.
Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) has opened a free-to-use Yoga Room at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, which travellers can visit to de-stress during their journey.
Located in Terminal 3, the Yoga Room includes exercise mats, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, video tutorials and relaxing music.
Rosemarie S. Andolino, CDA Commissioner, said: “On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we are excited to offer this oasis for passengers travelling through Chicago’s global gateway…The Yoga Room provides a space for yoga practice as well as a place to relax or meditate. This is yet another amenity to help make the travel experience at O’Hare ‘best-in-class’.”
CDA has also said it plans to open a Yoga Room at Chicago Midway International Airport in the near future.
FTE Europe 2014, which will take place in London from 3-5 March 2014, will include an official Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 Symposium, which will provide a dedicated focus on the landmark new terminal that is due to open in June 2014. Among the speakers in the Symposium will be Heathrow Airport's John Holland-Kaye, Development Director; Duncan Pickard, T2A Project Director; Fidel Lopez, Commercial Director; Brian Woodhead, T2 Operations Director; and Star Alliance's VP Customer Experience and Technology, Justin Erbacci.
