Delta’s lavish new Sky Club lounge opens at SFO

The new San Francisco Club features locally inspired artwork, including a wall-to-wall mosaic of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The refurbished Delta Sky Club lounge at San Francisco International Airport is now open to premium passengers and features a variety of eye-catching features that the carrier hopes will differentiate its lounge offer from the competition.

Twice the size of the previous Sky Club at SFO, the lounge now features views of the runway leading out to the bay, calming bamboo accent walls, a bespoke high-end menu, premium bar and locally inspired art, including a wall-to-wall mosaic of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Delta premium bar
Among the eye-catching features is a premium bar, offering a selection of spirits and local IPA craft beer.

Premium customers can also make use of private work areas, power outlets, Wi-Fi, TVs, comfortable seating areas, personalised flight assistance and shower suites. The lounge has also been moved beyond security, so customers don’t have to worry about getting through security when they leave the lounge.

Claude Roussel, Managing Director – Delta Sky Club, said: “We evolved our approach to improving Delta Sky Clubs by adding items to engage the senses while creating a more consistent world-class experience.

“The San Francisco Club is the first to incorporate every element that we’ve introduced throughout the system over the past several months, and we hope customers will appreciate and enjoy the thoughtfulness put into every detail to create a uniquely San Franciscan experience.”
