ADAC rolls out offsite check-in as Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal opens

Peter Baumgartner, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways – pictured in the centre at the official opening of the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal ¬– said the new facility is an important element of the shared vision to position Abu Dhabi as a world-class transport hub.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and Etihad Airways have introduced a raft of new ground services to simplify the travel experience for passengers passing through Abu Dhabi’s new cruise terminal at Zayed Port.

The carrier has teamed up with MSC Cruises to offer a special Fly-Cruise package, and to ensure the transit between ship and aircraft is as seamless as possible ADAC has introduced 15 check-in counters at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, which means passengers arriving at the port can complete the airline check-in process ahead of travelling on to the airport.

In addition, Etihad Airways has launched a dedicated meet and greet service and return coach transfers between Abu Dhabi International Airport and the cruise terminal.

Peter Baumgartner, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways, said: “The new cruise terminal at Zayed Port represents our shared vision alongside our local partners to position Abu Dhabi as a world-class transport hub.

“Cruising is an exciting and fast growing sector of the travel industry and we look forward to helping develop this segment further with the expansion of our services from the brand new cruise terminal in Abu Dhabi.”
