KLM introduces new Airbus A330-200 cabin interior for World Business and Economy Class


All seats in World Business Class have been converted to full-flat models, with a brand-new inflight entertainment system.

KLM has introduced its first Airbus A330-200 with a fully renewed cabin interior. In addition to a whole new design, all seats in World Business Class have been converted to full-flat models, with a brand-new inflight entertainment system.

KLM will convert all seats in World Business Class to full-flat models by November 2018. Economy Class seats have also been replaced and a new inflight entertainment system has been installed. The renovated A330-200 operated its first flight to Abu Dhabi.

Previously, KLM renewed the World Business Class cabins onboard its Boeing 747s, 777-200s and 777-300s. KLM’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliners were already equipped with the upgraded World Business Class. The new seats and interior were designed by KLM in collaboration with designer Hella Jongerius.

The makeover includes the following features:

  • New full-flat WBC seats, which are more than two metres long at full stretch;
  • 18.5 inch HD quality touchscreen display in 16:9 format;
  • Interactive entertainment menu in 12 languages, featuring more than 200 films and 3D flight tracking;
  • Films with audio description for blind and visually impaired passengers;
  • Headphone socket with KLM noise-cancelling headset;
  • 110V socket and USB connection.
The Economy Class cabin of the A330-200 has also been renewed with new seats, a new inflight entertainment system, as well as new carpeting and curtains.

Moreover, the Economy Class cabin of the A330-200 has also been totally renewed. Apart from new seats, the cabin has been equipped with a new inflight entertainment system, as well as new carpeting and curtains.

The Economy Class makeover includes the following features:

  • 10 inch HD quality touchscreen display in 16:9 format;
  • High-power USB connection;
  • Interactive entertainment menu in 12 languages, featuring more than 200 films and 3D flight tracking;
  • Films with audio description for blind and visually impaired passengers.
