FTE Start-up Competition 2017

Future Travel Experience and JetBlue Technology Ventures, with the support of Plug & Play, Travel Tech Con & the Traveltech Lab, have teamed up to launch a pioneering Start-up Competition and Showcase. The global start-up competition is designed to help discover the most innovative concepts or products that can significantly enhance the passenger experience, or ancillary revenue opportunities, during the airport or inflight phases of travel. The submission process is open from July 5 until August 4 and the winner will be announced at Future Travel Experience Global 2017 in Las Vegas, 6-8 September.

Eligibility

The competition is open to any start-up worldwide that is Series B or less and incorporated within the last five years.

Prizes

The grand prize is worldwide recognition at the Future Travel Experience Global conference and exhibition in Las Vegas (6-8 September 6-8, 2017) and two free round-trip JetBlue flights.

The top four start-ups will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges:

  • Bonny Simi, President, JetBlue Technology Ventures
  • Daniel Coleman, Founder, Future Travel Experience
  • Amir Amidi, Managing Partner, Travel and Hospitality Center of Innovation, Plug and Play Tech Center

These four start-ups will receive the opportunity to participate in a showcase at Future Travel Experience Global. This includes free entrance into the conference, free display space in the expo and free JetBlue travel.

Any start-up that enters the contest and meets the entry requirements will be entitled to a discounted shell scheme exhibition package ($2,295/booth) or discounted delegate entry to the FTE Global event ($1,295/person).

The first place winner will be chosen by the Future Travel Experience Advisory Board at the event, and the winner will be announced at the 2017 FTE Awards ceremony on 7 September.
