Six more airlines join TSA PreCheck trusted traveller programme

As of May 2018, a total of 52 airlines are participating in the TSA PreCheck programme.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck programme continues to expand, with six more international airlines joining the trusted traveller programme.

The six new partnering airlines are Air Serbia, Condor Airlines, Porter Airlines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines (UK) and Thomas Cook Airlines (Scandinavia). A total of 52 domestic and international carriers are now participating in TSA PreCheck.

The expedited screening programme enables pre-approved, low-risk travellers to enjoy a more efficient airport security screening experience at more than 200 airports across the United States. Approved PreCheck travellers do not need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts or light jackets at participating airport security checkpoints.

PreCheck is available when departing from a US airport to a foreign country, and for domestic, connecting flights after returning to the US. US citizens, US nationals and lawful permanent residents of the US can apply to join the programme for a cost of $85 for five years, or $17 per year through the TSA PreCheck application programme.

Other passengers who are eligible for TSA PreCheck include members of the three US Customs and Border Protection’s trusted traveller programmes, Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI. TSA PreCheck is also available for US Armed Forces service members, including those serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Reserves and National Guard.
