We have tried to design our Virtual Expo platform to be as intuitive and user-friendly as possible, but there are always those simple questions you just need a simple answer to. See below, some of our most frequently asked questions, and some easily accessible answers.

ATTENDEE QUESTIONS:

STEP 1: To access the event please visit: https://virtual-expo.futuretravelexperience.com

We recommend using Chrome as your internet browser to access the event platform.

Just search ‘Chrome’ from your computer start menu and enter the above URL (web address) in the top.

STEP 2: Click ‘Enter the Virtual Event’

STEP 3: Submit your email (the account to which you would have received our confirmation email)

Once logged into the virtual event platform, you’ll see a profile logo in the top right-hand corner of the page. Click to add a photo, or adjust your name, job title or company name.

Yes! Once on the virtual event platform in the top right-hand corner, you’ll see your name and a profile logo, which will look like this. Click on this profile logo and select ‘Update Profile Picture’.

If you are unable to access the auditorium, OnDemand Speaker Zone and/or Premium Networking Lounge, it is likely because you have registered on an Expo Only pass.

With an expected attendance of 8,000+ industry executives from across the globe, FTE and our event partners are excited to provide a platform that offers supercharged in-real-time networking. See outlined below, the various means of connecting with your fellow attendees during the event.

  1.  Booth Chat 
    After looking through the resources on a stand simply click ‘CHAT’ to enter the exhibitor’s booth chat room. Here you will see the booth representatives online (in the chat room) and can message, call or video call. There is also an open discussion forum where everyone on the booth can chat together.
  2. Reserve a Chat Slot If you’ve visited a booth chat room and all representatives are currently engaged in other conversations, we encourage use of the ‘reserve a chat slot’ feature.  This feature will send both parties an email notification to confirm the meeting slot; both attendee and booth rep will then enter the chat room at the agreed time to talk.
  3. Send Message (available during the 30 days after the event) 
    Once the event is closed the chat function will be replaced with a send message option.  This allows the attendees to continue correspondence with exhibitors post event.  The message automatically goes into the mailbox of the exhibitor who set up the stand and allows them to email you back with further information.
  4. Premium Networking Lounge* 
    All premium attendees are encouraged to visit the Premium Networking Lounge in order to network with one another. A list of online attendees will be shown down the left-hand side of the screen and you can click on any name to message, call or video chat.
  5. Virtual Networking Sessions* 
    An authentic, human experience with real-time, face-to-face interaction that makes this virtual networking approach feel as natural and fun as it should be. Attendees can navigate their way around a networking arena and join tables where interaction is focused around specific industry topics, so you can meet, engage and share ideas and experiences with other peers interested in the same subjects as you. There are never more than 8 participants at a table to keep conversations manageable, and you can move between tables to broaden your learning and the number of contacts you make.

Upon logging into the FTE APEX and IFSA Onboard Hospitality Virtual Expo site, you will be taken to the event lobby, from here you will see several ‘doors’ leading to the ‘Exhibition’, ‘Auditorium’ etc.

From the event lobby, click on the door titled ‘Premium Networking Lounge’ or select ‘Premium Networking Lounge’ from the navigation menu.

Once in the Premium Networking Lounge, you can engage in one-to-one text, voice and video call with other premium attendees also in the Premium Networking Lounge.

Upon logging into the FTE APEX and IFSA Onboard Hospitality Virtual Expo site, you will be taken to the event lobby, from here you will see several ‘doors’ leading to the ‘Exhibition’, ‘Auditorium’ etc.

From the event lobby, click on the door titled ‘Exhibition’ or select ‘exhibition’ from the navigation menu. Click on the name of the exhibitor you are interested in to be taken directly to their stand; alternatively select ‘Click here to scroll the exhibition floor’ to view all exhibition stands at your leisure.

You will now see a scrolling exhibition hall with booths designed with each supplier’s branding. Scroll through the exhibition or search the directory for vendors suiting your area of interest.

To engage with an exhibitor, click on their stand. From here, you can explore the resources available, or select to network via text, voice, or video chat. A selection of exhibitors will also be offering scheduled product demos streamed directly from suppliers’ own offices and factory floors.

When clicking to enter the exhibition you will see a graphic displaying a list of all our exhibition companies. We have categorised our exhibiting companies into categories for ease of exploring supplies that suit your area of interest. Simply click on the company’s name to be taken directly to their stand.

You can also use the search function, located above the navigation menu when in the lobby.

We have several networking functions planned, to allow for each of our time zones to attend at a time that suits them. Please see these timings* listed below:

  • 15:00 – 16:00 (GMT) – Premium Attendee EMEA “Virtual Networking Session”
  • 22:00 – 23:59 (GMT) – Premium Attendee Americas “Virtual Networking Session”
  • Day 2 – Wednesday 9 December
  • 08:15 – 09:30 (GMT) – Premium Attendee Asia-Pac “Virtual Networking Session”
  • 15:00 – 16:00 (GMT) – Premium Attendee EMEA “Virtual Networking Session”
  • 22:00 – 00:00 (GMT) – “Virtual Closing Networking Reception” for all premium attendees

To attend, please visit the Auditorium and our scheduled agenda of activities. At the scheduled time, click JOIN where you will be directed to our unique platform. Designed to replicate a live gala dinner and the organic networking and engagement that takes place, attendees will be able to see tables laid out by ‘area of interest’ – click a table to join the conversation and chat via video call with like-minded industry colleagues. Tables are set to 8 participants maximum, if at full capacity you will be placed into a queue.

Move between tables and chat with as many of your fellow premium attendees as you like throughout the 1-hour reception.

The Virtual Expo Auditorium features both live and pre-recorded content, which is made available to our attendees at a scheduled time. This content is then made available for viewing as OnDemand content which can be viewed at any time on the ‘Available to watch now’ tab. Content is added onto the ‘Available to watch now’ tab within 2 hours of its broadcast.

The OnDemand Speaker Zone is pre-recorded content uploaded onto the Virtual Expo platform, ready for viewing as soon as the event opens.

Both Auditorium and OnDemand content is available for the 30-days the event platform remains open.

In our Auditorium, all sessions that have already taken place, we be made available on the ‘Available to watch tab’. Live sessions may take up to 2 hours to be converted and added.

The OnDemand Speaker Zone features a plethora of pre-recorded content, available for viewing at a time that suits you.

Unfortunately, due to GDPR restrictions we are prevented from sharing a full attendee list.

However, we invite all our Premium Pass Holders to keep the Premium Networking Lounge open on a secondary tab on their computer, this will ensure you are online and available for all other attendees to message/call you.

We are excited to encourage our attendees to participate in the live product demonstrations hosted by our exhibiting companies.

Waiting to connect with you directly from their factory floor or within their office facilities, you can view their solution/products, in real time. Exhibitors can walk around the product and showcase exactly how it works. Attendees can ask questions, receive further information and suppliers can adjust their demonstration to suit your needs.

You will have noticed that we have invited attendees to submit their questions to our speakers in advance, and we were overwhelmed with the outpouring received. These questions will be put to our speakers during the session. For this reason, only some of our sessions will invite Q&A from the audience on the day.

The virtual expo site will remain open until 23:59 GMT on 8 January 2021.

There is unrestricted access to all recorded live conference sessions, and OnDemand Content, attendees can re-watch or catch up on anything they missed. The exhibition hall also remains open as a resource for upcoming procurement needs.

Our conference sessions are available for viewing solely through the virtual expo platform and are not available for downloading unfortunately.

However, we invite attendees to continue using the event platform for the 30 days it remains live, to revisit and re-watch our conference content.

To encourage all attendees to make the very most of their time in the FTE APEX and IFSA Onboard Hospitality Virtual Expo, we are offering complimentary premium attendance to those committing to visit and engage with 3+ of our exhibiting companies.

After the event we will analyse your networking engagement with your fellow attendees and exhibiting companies. Your inability to fulfil these criteria will affect your organisations access to this complimentary rate at future events.

EXHIBITOR QUESTIONS:

Once you have logged in and checked your stand and links are working please open your booth chatroom by selecting ‘Chat’, and the ‘Premium Networking Lounge’ by selecting the tab at the top of the page. You now have both chat rooms open on separate tabs and will be shown as online in these areas. Attendees can come in and start messaging you.

You will know who is on your stand and would like to connect as they will enter your booth chat room.

    Should an attendee visit the chat room and all booth reps are unavailable, even whilst taking another call you can message to set up an alternative time.
  2. Reserve a Chat Slot 
    Attendees use the schedule to reserve a time to chat with booth representatives.  The available timings link to the booth reps’ availability times that they set up above and then takes into consideration any meetings already reserved during the live day (not pre-arranged via any other app such as Calendly). This feature will send both parties an email notification to confirm the meeting slot; both attendee and booth rep will then enter the chat room at the agreed time to talk.
  3. Premium Networking Lounge* 
    Exhibitors with a Premium Pass will be able to reach out to premium attendees who are in the Premium Networking Lounge directly.  The list of online attendees in the Premium Networking Lounge will be shown down the left-hand side of the screen and you can click on any name to message, call or video call.  We would suggest inviting them to visit your booth, so they have access to all your resources and chat in your exhibitor booth chatroom.
  4. Virtual Networking Sessions*

We would suggest inviting any contacts to visit your booth after the session has finsihed, so they have access to all your resources and chat in your exhibitor booth chatroom.
  5. Send Message (available during the 30 days after the event) 
    Once the event is closed the chat function will be replaced with a send message option.  This allows the attendees to continue correspondence with you post event. The message automatically goes into the mailbox of the exhibitor who set up the stand and allows you to email back and forth.

Please go via the original booth link which was provided to create your stand. The link is an auto-login and does not require a username or password, it would have been sent to whoever set up your stand. If you do not have access to this link please ask a member of the FTE team to re-send it to you.

Please check the link you have uploaded in the backend of your stand design. If the link is working when you copy and paste it into your browser then try converting it with the below tool and pasting in the URL provided on the form. The system will be updated every hour.

The number of representatives on your stand is based on your contract. Additional premium passes above those included in your package can be purchased at 50% of the standard Vendor rate at $125.00 per pass. The number of representatives on your stand is based on your contract.

The schedule is available under the ‘Demo Schedule’ tab and in the Show Preview digital magazine. We also recommend promoting your own schedule on your stand and inviting people to attend via your chat function. Using the link that you set up start at your allocated time and attendees will join by.
