AirFi is the global leader in portable IFE and inflight retailing technology for airlines. Our vision is to enable “A Mall in the Sky” for airlines and their passengers. To achieve this, we offer a full suite of flexible and low capex solutions that enable streaming IFE, enhanced crew efficiency, third-party commercial integrations and numerous ancillary revenue-generating opportunities, transforming traditional onboard environments into profit centres for airlines. We also offer LEO (Low Earth Orbit) connectivity solutions enabling airlines and passengers to benefit from messaging and live payment validation options.

What makes your products / services stand out?

AirFi products continually set the benchmark for others to follow. We are the provider of choice for the most discerning airlines in the world when it comes to onboard wireless streaming technology that is flexible, quick to deploy and with near-zero maintenance costs. Having been in the wireless onboard streaming market for 11 years now – and having recently signed on easyJet! – we have an unparalleled track record when it comes to deploying our open, API-based application platform for the benefit of all our airline clients “out of the bx”. At AirFi, we pride ourselves on having a truly global organization with regional sales, support and deployment partners who understand local regulations, markets, and business practices. Last but not the least, we are extremely proud of our unwavering dedication to safety.

What brings you to the EXPO this year?

AirFi has long been a supporter of FTE and APEX. We are at the event to meet current and prospective customers and promote our “Mall in the Sky” concept and our LEO connectivity solution. We are keen to show the industry how we continue to innovate, set a high bar and push the boundaries of board passenger and crew engagement solutions.

Why should visitors come to your stand and what can they expect to see?

Visit us to learn more about:

1. Mall in the Sky: With our Mall in the Sky solution we are empowering the onboard transformation from mere retail operations to passenger-led commercial retail experiences and entertainment. Our application platform offers a range of modules that airlines can select from, to power their onboard PaxEx transformation as well as to re-energize their ancillary revenue-generating opportunities.

2. In-seat Ordering: move over ePOS! We are flipping the traditional inflight services model of crew-pushing trolleys for retail sales and services. With our In-seat ordering solution passengers are now empowered to order directly from their personal devices, with crew receiving orders on their tablets, and delivering to passengers in their seats. All this results in higher conversions, average order values and a better overall experience for passengers and crew.

3. LEO connectivity solution: this is a low-cost, low-bandwidth inflight connectivity solution installable overnight, opening the door to significant operational, commercial and experiential improvements for airlines. It allows for passenger and crew messaging, thereby supporting all-important passenger and crew (operational) communications, whilst enabling the live validation of onboard payments. These solutions combine to offer near-immediate returns for airlines on the already-low connectivity investment in our LEO solution.

What do you think is the biggest lesson that the industry will take away from the COVID-19 crisis?

More passengers across multiple segments and age groups have pivoted to digital in the last 2 years and the timing is perfect for the digital transformation of onboard retail, entertainment and experiences.
