Lisbon Airport installs eGates in Terminal 1
ANA Aeroportos de Portugal has installed access control security checkpoint eGates in Terminal 1 at Lisbon Airport.
ANA Aeroportos de Portugal has partnered with Vision-Box to install access control security checkpoint eGates in Terminal 1 at Lisbon Airport. The e-gates validate passenger access to the Departure Lounge.
The vb ® i-match check-point enables the automation of passenger control by validating their boarding pass, whatever the format used – paper or electronic (smartphone / PDA).
João Nunes, Director of Lisbon Airport, said: “This partnership allows ANA to offer the most advanced technologies in the implementation of self-service solutions for passengers in complete alignment with the IATA Fast Travel programme, which is also supported by ACI.”
Miguel Leitmann, Vice President of Vision-Box, added: “Once again Lisbon Airport and ANA differentiate themselves from other international airports by investing in innovation and the best available solutions in the market, offering passengers unique and innovative solutions. This project also demonstrates the suitability of our border control eGates, in production since 2006, for other processes within the airport such as access control, security checkpoints and boarding.”
