Lufthansa has received the Fast Travel Gold Award from IATA in recognition of the airline’s innovative solutions to simplify passenger travel.
IATA has unveiled the first mock-up of the Checkpoint of the Future concept, which is designed to enhance security and passenger processing.
Having been introduced in 2008, the CUPPS initiative is now in the implementation phase, with the CUPPS group in the process of writing an Implementation Guide.
On the back of a successful year for the Fast Travel programme, IATA has set an ambitious target for 2011 as it seeks to widen the appeal of self-service.
