Riga’s new gates to increase passenger comfort

Riga International Airport has opened three boarding gates to increase capacity for passengers travelling to Schengen Area countries.

The 400sqm development was completed in just four months and the new facilities have been added to reduce congestion at the departure gates.

Arnis Luhse, Chairman of the Board, Riga International Airport, said: “As the passenger traffic keeps growing, we are looking for options to provide additional comfort to the travellers in the current situation of limited capacity.

“The reconstruction of these premises at the terminal will help minimise the passenger flow at the gates.”
