Riga Airport streamlines security process for families by introducing separate screening line

Riga Airport has introduced a separate screening line at the passenger security checkpoint for families travelling with children under the age of seven as part of efforts to “improve the travel experience”.

Riga Airport has introduced a separate screening line at the passenger security checkpoint for families travelling with children under the age of seven.

“We are a family-friendly company, and we know that travelling with children requires extra care and attention from parents,” said Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board, Riga Airport. “We want to improve this travel experience, that is why we have opened a family line, which will allow families with small children to go through the security checkpoint quicker and continue on to their flight.”

The family line is located between the existing fast-track security screening line and the line for all passengers. It can be used both by travellers with children up to the age of seven, and by holders of the Honorary Family card, even if they are travelling without children.

Signs have also been replaced in the terminal, which will direct passengers to the family line, the fast-track line, and the security lines intended for all passengers.
