LAX’s F&B pre-order service now available for contactless gate delivery

The new service is an expansion of the airport’s LAXOrderNow.com mobile ordering platform, which enables contactless ordering, payment and pickup from restaurants throughout the LAX terminals.

Passengers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) can now have food and beverages delivered to them at their gate in select areas at the airport.

The new service is an expansion of the airport’s LAXOrderNow.com mobile ordering platform, which enables contactless ordering, payment and pickup from restaurants throughout the LAX terminals. The new delivery service, provided by AtYourGate, seamlessly integrates with the LAXOrderNow.com site and further enhances the digital experience by offering the convenience of delivery directly to the gates.

“Our guests have told us they want greater access to airport information and services through their mobile devices so they can have more control of their travel journey,” said Justin Erbacci, Chief Executive Officer, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), who will be speaking at FTE APEX Virtual Expo on 25-26 May. “Offering food and beverage delivery to the gate areas is yet another game-changing feature that sets the new LAX experience apart for its convenience and range of options.”

Initially, delivery service will be available in Tom Bradley International Terminal with additional terminals to be added soon. Participating restaurants so far include Vino Volo, Border Grill and ink.sack, with Panda Express and KFC joining the programme soon.

Passengers can scan QR codes throughout the terminals or visit LAXOrderNow.com to browse menus, place an order and pay. The gate delivery option will then be available at checkout for an additional delivery fee. Guests will be notified on their mobile device when orders are on their way and when they arrive in the designated gate area, and each participating restaurant will provide an estimated delivery time to help ensure food arrives prior to departing.
