The future of onboard experience is connected

By AEROMOND – an exhibitor at APEX FTE EMEA and Ancillary & Retailing, Dublin, 9 to 11 June 2026

Today’s onboard passenger experience is still highly fragmented. Passengers are confronted with disconnected airline apps, different accepted payment methods, paper magazines, language barriers, QR codes leading to temporary browser menus, inconsistent onboard systems, and ordering experiences that change completely depending on the operator they travel with.

In an era where people can order a taxi, stream entertainment, or purchase products online within seconds, onboard services often still feel outdated and unnecessarily complicated.

At AEROMOND, we believe that onboard service ordering should become as easy and intuitive as ordering something on Amazon or booking an UBER with a single click. That is our mission.

AEROMOND is redefining onboard passenger experience through a seamless connected journey across air & rail.

Our cross-operator onboard platform enables passengers to:

  • Order food, beverages, duty-free products & digital services in real time
  • Pay automatically in the background
  • Communicate directly with cabin crew
  • Enjoy onboard entertainment — even offline
  • Use one app, one account & one payment method across operators
  • Experience automatic seat location recognition onboard
  • Access standardized pre-order functionality across operators

The result is a truly connected onboard experience where passengers no longer need to learn a new system every time they travel. Imagine a future where pre-ordering a meal works through the same three familiar clicks inside the app – regardless of whether you are flying with an airline or travelling by train. A future where a passenger sitting onboard can instantly receive personalised last-minute seat upgrade offers for premium cabins that would otherwise remain empty. A future where onboard services finally become seamless, digital, and frictionless.

Built to enhance existing systems – not replace them

AEROMOND is not designed to replace existing airline or railway systems. Instead, our platform acts as an additional onboard service and revenue layer that can operate in parallel with existing ecosystems, apps, and onboard infrastructure. This allows operators to unlock additional ancillary revenue potential while addressing passengers who are often not reached by current systems – including occasional travellers, non-returning passengers, international tourists, or passengers who avoid traditional onboard purchasing processes due to inconvenience or unfamiliarity. Through modular APIs and flexible integration capabilities, AEROMOND can complement existing operator solutions while introducing a standardised passenger experience layer across operators.

Creating value for operators

Beyond passenger convenience, AEROMOND is designed to create measurable commercial and operational benefits for operators:

  • Ancillary revenue uplift potential of up to 30%
  • Improved passenger engagement and interaction
  • More efficient onboard service operations
  • Additional monetization opportunities during the journey
  • Future-ready connected onboard services
  • Cross-operator passenger ecosystem potential

At the same time, AEROMOND supports more sustainable onboard operations through:

  • AI-driven demand and consumption forecasting
  • Optimization of catering planning
  • Reduction of food waste
  • Reduction of unnecessary onboard weight
  • Potential fuel and CO₂ savings

As passenger expectations continue to evolve towards digital-first experiences, connected onboard services are becoming increasingly important – especially in a world of growing point-to-point traffic and more fragmented travel patterns. Passengers no longer compare their onboard experience only with other airlines. They compare it with the seamless digital experiences they use every single day on the ground. And this is exactly where AEROMOND comes in.
