Alaska Airlines has partnered with Meili to modernise its car rental booking CX.

Alaska Airlines – a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub – has partnered with Meili – a technology platform enabling direct ancillary distribution – to modernise the car rental booking experience for its customers. As the airline continues to evolve its digital experience, it wanted its car rental offering to keep pace, with greater flexibility, a more integrated customer journey and more control over how the experience is delivered. By partnering with Meili, Alaska Airlines can connect directly with car rental partners while retaining control of the customer experience, brand and data.

“The integration process and work with Meili has been first class,” said Jason McCauley, Director of Commercial Partnerships & Business Development, Alaska Airlines. “What has stood out most is the responsiveness of the Meili team and the strength of their modern technology platform. Working with Meili has allowed us to improve both the guest experience and operational efficiency, and we’re excited about what we can accomplish together going forward.”

Alaska Airlines went from implementation kick-off to live with Meili in just nine business days, demonstrating the speed and flexibility of Meili’s direct model and the close collaboration between both teams.

“Airlines shouldn’t have to give up control of their customer relationship, their data or their experience to sell ancillaries,” said Mike McGearty, CEO, Meili. “Alaska understands that. Together, we’ve built an experience that feels like Alaska, performs for Alaska and gives them the flexibility to keep improving it.”
