In this session, which was first broadcast during the FTE APEX Virtual Expo show in May 2021, a panel of industry leaders focused on how inflight entertainment & connectivity (IFEC) will evolve post-COVID-19. The session kicked off with an exclusive presentation from James Blackwell Jr, Managing Director of Sales, Delta Flight Products, who provided more details on how Delta Air Lines’ new spinoff company is positioned to respond to new trends and realities created by the pandemic. Blackwell then joined panellists including Nancy Walker, Senior Vice President Aviation Connectivity, Anuvu; David Pook, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Support, Burrana; Ralph Wagner, CEO, Axinom; and Joe Bentley, Chief Technical Officer at Panasonic Avionics, for an in-depth discussion on transformational activity in the IFEC space, and the right approaches for airlines and their partners to take going forward. Air Canada’s Director, In-Flight Digital Entertainment, Wi-Fi, Media Sales and Analytics Norman Haughton then shared the carrier’s perspective on using IFE as a “strategic tool” to help the industry recovery.
