DFW Airport opens stores with grab-and-go technology

When shopping in the new stores, customers need to scan their credit card to enter, select their items and then are automatically charged for their purchase when they exit the store.

Three innovative concessions have opened at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), featuring grab-and-go technology.

When shopping in the new stores, customers need to scan their credit card to enter, select their items and then are automatically charged for their purchase when they exit the store.

The technology is available at Hudson Nonstop featuring Amazon’s Just Walk Out Technology – Terminal B; Fort Worth Magazine Store powered by Zippin – Terminal C; and Grab & Fly featuring Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology – Terminal D Lower Gates.

“DFW Airport’s focus on a smooth customer experience continues with the addition of innovative technologies,” said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of Revenue Management and Customer Experience. “We understand the convenience our customers want when they are in our terminals, and our mission is to help them travel as seamlessly as possible through DFW Airport.”

Customers just scan or swipe their credit cards when they enter the store. At the entrance of Hudson Nonstop and Grab & Fly, customers have the option to scan the palm of their hand to create an account. After selecting their items, the customer will be automatically charged as they exit the store.
