Dear friends and colleagues,
As we head into APEX FTE Asia Expo 2025 in Singapore (11-12 November), I wanted to take a moment to share a few reflections, and some exciting news about what lies ahead.

After another year of remarkable progress and renewed confidence across our sector, it’s clear that the spirit of innovation is stronger than ever. From digital transformation and automation to sustainability and commercial reinvention, the momentum across the global air transport industry is both inspiring and unprecedented.
In a recent FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub meeting, we explored how AI will reshape our industry over the next 5, 10, and 20 years. In my view, developments over the next five years will set the course for decades to come, and it’s vital we get that planning right. FTE is uniquely positioned to help guide that evolution through our portfolio of future-focused events, working groups, and initiatives that facilitate collaboration and real progress.
That journey continues next week in Singapore, where we’ll welcome an exceptional mix of airlines, airports, and solution providers from around the world. With over 550 organisations already registered, including more than 80 airlines and airport operators, the response has been phenomenal – a true reflection of the industry’s appetite for collaboration and innovation. With headline support from Changi Airport Group and Singapore Airlines, and a stellar line-up of speakers from Korean Air, AirAsia, Airport Authority Hong Kong, Fiji Airways, Melbourne Airport, Alaska Airlines, Air India, Ethiopian Airlines, Cebu Airport Corporation and many more, it’s shaping up to be one of our most impactful editions to date. You can register for free here if you haven’t already.
APEX FTE EMEA, Ancillary & Retailing, and the Smart Ramp & Baggage Innovation Summit – Dublin, 9-11 June 2026
We’ll return to Dublin for a powerful three-show co-location combining APEX FTE EMEA, Ancillary & Retailing, and the Smart Ramp & Baggage Innovation Summit. Under the theme “Transformative Approaches & Business Models”, the event will unite digital, commercial, CX, and operational leaders to explore new ways to deliver value across the end-to-end travel experience.
For the first time, airlines and airports alike can attend free of charge when securing their place before 13 February, reflecting our commitment to driving meaningful engagement. Vendors can also benefit from Super Early Bird savings of €500 before the same date.
Ryanair has already confirmed its support as an initial partner, and we expect record participation from industry leaders keen to collaborate, learn, and showcase new ideas in Dublin next June.

Express your interest in attending FTE Global 2026 >>APEX FTE Expo Asia – Singapore, 18-19 November 2026
In Asia, we’re building on 15 years of incredible momentum, as our long-running regional show evolves into a true global mega event with the launch of the unified APEX FTE Expo Asia, bringing together two of the industry’s most respected brands under one roof at Marina Bay Sands. For the first time, APEX will bring its largest event, APEX Global EXPO, to Singapore, combining its unrivalled customer experience heritage with FTE’s long-established regional innovation APAC event, which will now take on a broader global focus.
This powerful new collaboration will unite the world in Singapore for the largest end-to-end passenger experience and innovation expo, connecting airline, airport, and technology leaders from across APAC and beyond to showcase the ideas, solutions, and partnerships redefining the future of travel.
With more than 3,000 participants expected, including representatives from 100+ airlines and airport operators from around the world, attendees will experience a dynamic exhibition and conference programme featuring C-suite interviews, case studies, and discussions exploring the strategies, technologies, and collaborations driving the next era of air transport innovation.
FTE Communities
Beyond these flagship shows, our growing FTE Communities – including the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub, FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group, and FTE World Ancillary & Retailing Working Group – will continue to deliver value through live meetings, proof-of-concept projects, and collaborative initiatives advancing digital transformation, baggage, retail, and sustainability.
A member recently said to me “the FTE communities convene the people who don’t just talk about the future – they build it”. It’s a sentiment we’re incredibly proud of, and it perfectly captures what makes our network so special.
Our ACE (Accelerating Collaboration & Engagement) platform also continues to drive genuine cross-industry progress by enabling stakeholders to test emerging technologies together and explore shared investment in promising solutions. Meanwhile, our Smart Ramp programme – focused on advancing a future where aircraft turnarounds are achieved more efficiently and autonomously – is gearing up for Year 2, with new members soon to join International Airlines Group, Schiphol Group, KLM, Miami International Airport, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and All Nippon Airways, who are already active in the initiative.

Our goal has always been to help those who engage with FTE not only adapt to change, but lead it. As we look ahead to 2026, that mission feels more relevant than ever.
Whether you’ll be joining us in Singapore next week, Dublin in June, Dallas in September, or Singapore again in November, I look forward to welcoming you and working together to transform travel together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more about any of the above.
All the best,
