Avinor and Alphacomm partner to make travel connectivity simple and safe with innovative, customer-centric solution

Alphacomm is partnering with Avinor to offer travel eSIM directly through the airport operator’s website. The aim is to improve the travel experience with innovative, customer-centric connectivity solutions.

Alphacomm, a trusted leader in providing end-to-end solutions for digital goods, has announced a partnership with Avinor, Norway’s state-owned airport operator, to offer travel eSIM directly through Avinor’s website.

Travel eSIMs eliminate the need for physical SIM cards, allowing travellers to connect to mobile networks internationally without swapping SIMs or purchasing local cards in each country. Through this partnership, both Norwegian travellers heading abroad and international visitors arriving in Norway can purchase and activate travel eSIMs conveniently via Avinor’s website.

“Our partnership with Alphacomm aligns perfectly with our digital strategy to deliver functional and relevant services that truly benefit our travellers,” said Jørn Korbi, VP Digital Commercialisation, Avinor. “With this collaboration, we’re giving travellers a convenient opportunity to save on data usage when travelling intercontinentally.”

Alphacomm’s solution offers global coverage across 200+ destinations through partnerships with 1,000+ networks worldwide. The platform features secure payment processing with AI-powered fraud protection through Protectmaxx, flexible data packages (XS to L plans), and 24/7 multilingual support. Travellers benefit from cost savings compared to international roaming, instant connectivity and the ability to manage their eSIM through a simple web interface – no app download required.

This collaboration aligns with Alphacomm’s mission to make digital goods transactions simple and safe. Through Alphacomm’s standalone travel eSIM service, available via Avinor’s website, both companies improve the travel experience with innovative, customer-centric connectivity solutions that address the needs of modern travellers seeking reliable, affordable mobile data abroad.

“This partnership with Avinor demonstrates how travel connectivity should work: instant, secure and hassle-free,” said Sjoerd Groot, Chief Growth Officer, Alphacomm. “By combining our expertise in digital goods with Avinor’s trusted platform, we’re empowering travellers to stay connected globally without the usual complexity or cost. It’s about removing barriers and refining the journey from start to finish.”
