The Boring Company tour – exploring innovation in urban mobility

Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most innovative transportation projects in the world. During this exclusive tour of Elon Musk’s The Boring Company, Corporate Partners of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub will explore the cutting-edge underground transit system designed to streamline short-distance urban travel. The Boring Company creates safe, fast-to-dig, and low-cost transportation, utility, and freight tunnels, with the mission to solve traffic, enable rapid point-to-point transportation and transform cities.

This guided experience offers a first-hand look at the operational Loop system, where autonomous Tesla vehicles transport passengers through high-efficiency tunnels beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees will gain insight into the design, construction, and scalability of this system, and explore how similar infrastructure could complement airport access, intermodal connectivity, and future mobility solutions.

Discover how this pioneering project intersects with the future of transportation – and what it might mean for the evolution of ground access in and around airports.

What is the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub?

Launched in 2018, the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub is a truly unique community designed specifically for the individuals and organisations who are at the forefront of digital transformation and innovation in the aviation industry. Our Corporate Partners – including many of the industry’s most forward-thinking airlines, airports and vendors – connect on a regular basis throughout the year and the FTE Hub is where meaningful relationships are forged, and learnings, ideas and case studies are continually shared.

It is a one-of-a-kind community where members can openly share their expertise and experiences, discover new partners and inspiration from outside of the sector, explore opportunities to collaborate, and deliver positive change. Our Corporate Partners also have access to hundreds of approved startup members, each of which has products and services specifically designed to help advance the air transport industry.

There can be no doubting the huge potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics and the Internet of Things (IoT) and the wide-reaching impacts these technologies will have on the aviation industry in the months and years ahead. From optimising operations and enhancing efficiency to taking the customer experience to a new level, each of these technologies will be truly transformational for airports, airlines and their partners. This is why AI, Robotics and IoT are the core areas of focus for the FTE Hub in 2025.
