CAVU: designing digital and physical solutions that make travel smoother, smarter, and more rewarding

With over 80 years of aviation expertise, CAVU – a Gold Sponsor and Exhibitor at APEX FTE Asia Expo (Singapore, 11-12 November 2025) – designs digital and physical solutions that make travel smoother, smarter, and more rewarding for passengers and the partners who serve them. Ahead of the event, Martin Jones, Chief Executive Officer, CAVU, shares some compelling insights in this interview.

Martin Jones, Chief Executive Officer, CAVU: “With Propel, our advanced eCommerce platform, airports can bring their full commercial offering into one seamless marketplace. Travellers can browse and buy everything they need in a single basket, creating a personalised experience that reduces friction, builds loyalty, and helps airports monetise more of the journey while increasing yield.”

“Airports today face growing challenges: the passenger journey remains fragmented and full of friction, commercial value is often split across disconnected systems, and limited passenger insight makes it harder to build meaningful relationships,” says Jones. “Many airports also need to monetise more of the journey while managing capacity constraints caused by construction delays and operational pressures. At the same time, passengers’ preconditioned behaviours mean they rarely see the airport as part of their wider travel experience, an attitude that must change if airports are to unlock new revenue opportunities.”

CAVU’s solutions are built to address these challenges. Using real-time data and insights from its parent airport group, CAVU identifies and connects the moments that matter most, helping airports and partners create a more joined-up journey that drives greater value for everyone involved.

“With Propel, our advanced eCommerce platform, airports can bring their full commercial offering into one seamless marketplace,” Jones explains. “Travellers can browse and buy everything they need in a single basket, creating a personalised experience that reduces friction, builds loyalty, and helps airports monetise more of the journey while increasing yield.”

Propel eCommerce platform: faster, more intuitive booking for parking, lounges, and FastTrack

Visitors to the CAVU booth (D9) at APEX FTE Asia Expo will experience live demos of Propel. Propel is CAVU’s purpose-built eCommerce platform for airports, designed to help customers unlock their full commercial potential and sell the right products to the right passengers in a single, seamless experience.

Martin Jones, Chief Executive Officer, CAVU: “We want to help airports unlock more value from the passenger journey. Seamless experiences make travellers happier, improve retention, and ultimately drive revenue. There’s plenty of opportunity ahead, and we’re excited to be part of it.”

“We’re excited to showcase how it gives full control over inventory, pricing, and pre-booking, while connecting users to the Global Travel Marketplace, our growing inventory of travel products and services,” Jones shares.

Attendees will see how the platform enables faster, more intuitive booking for parking, lounges, and FastTrack through a single-basket approach. Whether you’re looking to improve conversion rates, optimise pricing strategies, or deliver more personalised offers, the CAVU team will demonstrate what’s possible with the right technology.

“We’ve been a proud partner of the APEX FTE EMEA events for many years and have always found them to be valuable,” says Jones. “They bring together like-minded people who are passionate about shaping the future of travel, and our collaborations at these events have led to real progress in the industry. As we expand into the Asia-Pacific region, it makes perfect sense to extend our partnership with FTE. APEX FTE Asia Expo provides an ideal opportunity to connect with airports, airlines, and technology partners who share our ambition to create a more connected and profitable passenger journey. Our objectives are clear: raise awareness of what CAVU can deliver, build meaningful partnerships, and demonstrate how our technology helps the industry unlock new revenue streams while improving the passenger experience.”

One of Propel’s biggest advantages is its compatibility with existing systems, eliminating the need for lengthy bespoke builds. The platform makes it simple to test, launch, and scale new products. “The most immediate opportunities are in ancillary services and connected commerce,” Jones notes. “Many airports have significant untapped potential to integrate the passenger journey, linking pre-travel, day-of-travel, in-terminal, and post-travel offer, to create seamless and profitable experiences. Propel connects these touchpoints and helps airports optimise their commercial impact.”

Jones adds that shared data, shared platforms, and shared value creation hold enormous potential. “When airports and airlines align around the passenger using common systems and insights, they can deliver more relevant offers, respond effectively to disruptions, and grow ancillary revenue together. Collaboration has moved from a nice-to-have to a must-have, and it’s how the next generation of travel experiences will be built.”

Martin Jones, Chief Executive Officer, CAVU: “FTE brings together the most forward-thinking people in travel. This year, we’re particularly excited about the pace of innovation in Asia and the shift toward composable, data-led platforms that enable personalisation and collaboration at scale. The conversations happening in this region are shaping the direction of the industry globally.”
