Manchester Airport has welcomed the opening of a new premium bar by Fever-Tree in the newly transformed Terminal 2. The opening supports the airport’s efforts to elevate the end-to-end passenger experience.

Summary:

  • Manchester Airport welcomes a new premium Fever-Tree bar in its newly transformed Terminal 2, enhancing the airside food and beverage offering for departing passengers.
  • The opening supports Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion terminal transformation, delivering an upgraded retail and hospitality mix designed to elevate the end-to-end passenger experience.
  • Fever-Tree expands its airport hospitality footprint following Edinburgh Airport, bringing premium brand-led experiences that support non-aeronautical revenue growth.

Manchester Airport – a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub and a Partner of the FTE World Ancillary & Retailing Working Group – has welcomed the opening of a new premium bar by Fever-Tree in the newly transformed Terminal 2.

The new bar builds on Fever-Tree’s experience in creating premium bar spaces for travellers, following the launch of the Fever-Tree Bar at Edinburgh Airport in 2022.

The opening comes as Manchester Airport nears the completion of its £1.3 billion transformation programme, with the majority of its 50+ airlines now operating from its brand-new Terminal 2. The redevelopment has created a bigger, brighter, more open terminal with an upgraded mix of shops, bars and restaurants, designed to elevate the passenger experience.

“Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to connect the North to the world, with the greatest route network of any UK airport outside London,” said Chris Woodroofe, Managing Director, Manchester Airport. “We’ve invested £1.3 billion in our brand-new, award-winning Terminal 2 so that we now have the facilities to deliver a truly world-leading airport experience. Fever-Tree is a fantastic addition to the departure lounge – it is a brilliantly designed space where passengers can relax in style ahead of their flights. It brings something new and unique to the airport and I’m sure our passengers will love it.”

Located airside in Terminal 2, the new Fever-Tree Bar aims to offer a stylish yet relaxing setting for travellers. At its heart is a striking signature Fever-Tree tree installation with the canopy stretching 11m above the bar, inspired by the botanical landscapes where the brand sources its ingredients. The design reflects Terminal 2’s modern architecture while reinforcing Fever-Tree’s commitment to quality, craft and exceptional drinking experiences.

“This is an incredibly exciting moment for airport travel, and Manchester Airport’s new Terminal 2 is setting a new benchmark for the passenger experience,” said Fever-Tree CEO and Co-Founder Tim Warrillow. “After the fantastic reception to our first airport bar at Edinburgh Airport, we are delighted to bring Fever-Tree to Manchester and to be part of the transformed T2 offering. We look forward to welcoming passengers to enjoy perfectly mixed long drinks in a space inspired by the natural world behind our mixers.”
