Read some of the key takeaways from Avolon-e’s inaugural Advanced Air Mobility Symposium, which took place alongside FTE Dublin 2022 last month.
FTE was onsite at the launch of Urban-Air Port’s Air-One – a world-first demonstration of a fully-operational hub for eVTOLs and autonomous cargo drones.
The new hub will provide the space for the command, charging and loading of logistics drones to support future drone delivery services in the Leeds City Region.
Joby’s eVTOL aircraft could reduce the 31-mile journey from Osaka station to Kansai International Airport from one hour by car to 15 minutes.
As part of the partnership, AirAsia has signed a non-binding MoU to lease a minimum of 100 VX4 eVTOL aircraft from Avolon.
The initiative is a significant step towards launching commercial advanced air mobility services in time for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
