Riyadh Air unveils new signature tableware collection in partnership with deSter

Riyadh Air has partnered with deSter to launch a signature tableware collection, which aims to combine elegant design, multifunctionality and sustainability, delivering a seamless experience across all cabins.

Riyadh Air – Saudi Arabia’s new digitally-native carrier – has partnered with deSter (a designer and manufacturer of sustainable and innovative packaging, tableware and comfort items for the aviation and food service industries) to launch a signature tableware collection. The collection reflects the airline’s bold vision for modern travel, combining elegant design, multifunctionality and sustainability, to deliver a seamless experience across all cabins.

“Our collaboration with deSter has delivered another tangible element of our vision to reimagine the air travel passenger experience,” said Vincent Coste, CCO, Riyadh Air. “Their thoughtful and modern interpretations of air travel drinking and dining essentials both reflect Riyadh Air’s identity and our commitment to sustainability.”

The collection is intentionally streamlined, with a number of versatile pieces that simplify operations, while elevating the passenger experience. It includes all the essentials for a complete service, with several highlights which stand out as expressions of Riyadh Air’s identity. In the Business Cabin, guests will discover refined details such as a breadbasket designed for both elegance and practicality, salt and pepper sets inspired by iconic Riyadh landmarks, and a caviar bowl paired with a delicate cloche for a truly elevated service moment. A lavender-tinted tumbler adds a distinctive accent, while a subtle ‘canopy twist’ detail runs across the entire collection, creating a cohesive design experience. In the economy cabin, sustainability takes centre stage with a fully reusable setup featuring closed-loop recyclable materials and one of the industry’s first reusable tumblers – also featuring the signature lavender hue.

“This collection is the result of true co-creation,” said Nicholas De Nijs, Regional Vice President Middle East & Indian Subcontinent, deSter. “Working closely with Riyadh Air, we combined our design expertise with their bold vision to craft pieces that feel premium, purposeful, and unmistakably theirs. Every detail was considered to create a dining experience that is as refined as it is functional – bringing the Riyadh Air brand to life on every table.”

Stef Van de Perre, President & Managing Director, deSter, added: “It’s not every day that a new airline takes flight, and we are proud to be a trusted partner in shaping Riyadh Air’s onboard experience from the very beginning. Co-developing this tableware range for both Premium and Main Cabins has been an exciting journey – one that reflects our shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional quality to passengers worldwide.”

The new tableware will debut with Riyadh Air’s upcoming first commercial flights in 2026.
