Brisbane Airport revamps International Terminal with new food & beverage and retail offerings

Brisbane Airport is transforming its International Terminal with 13 new food & beverage outlets, expanded retail, and a new Dining Precinct, blending local flavours and global favourites for a more engaging passenger experience.

Summary:

  • Brisbane Airport refreshes its International Terminal with 13 new and upgraded food & beverage outlets, including KFC, Manna, Liv Eat, and Sushi Jiro.
  • The upcoming Dining Precinct will feature local favourites and international cuisine, alongside expanded coffee and sweet treat options.
  • Retail upgrades include expanded Lotte Duty Free, Relay, and currency exchange, enhancing the overall passenger experience by the end of 2027.

Travellers are getting their first look at a major refresh inside Brisbane Airport’s International Terminal, as the rollout of 13 new and upgraded food & beverage outlets takes shape. Four more food outlets are set to open mid-year, including crowd-favourite KFC, Mediterranean-inspired lobby bar concept Manna, and healthy grab-and-go options from Liv Eat and Sushi Jiro kiosks. McDonalds opened in December last year and continues to trade as one of its busiest locations in Queensland.

Still to come, brand-new hub The Dining Precinct will bring together sweet treats from Gelatissimo and local bakery Jocelyn’s Provisions, gourmet sandwiches from Brisbane-born Joe’s Deli, the Deck Bar & Eatery, Coffee Trader, as well as international flavours like Souva Greek Eats, Asian Street Kitchen and Sol Mexican Eats. Brisbane coffee favourites Bellissimo, Merlo Cafe and Kuhl-Cher Cafe will also have outlets across the departures and arrivals levels.

All 13 outlets will be fully open by the end of 2027.

New retail coming to the International Terminal will include travel essentials from Relay, Prosegur Change Currency Exchange and the footprint of the existing Lotte Duty Free store will almost double as part of the transformation in coming years.

“This food and retail upgrade will create a terminal that feel unmistakably like Brisbane; relaxed, welcoming and full of great food,” said Scott Norris, Executive General Manager Commercial, Brisbane Airport. “We know travellers want to enjoy local flavours. The upgraded terminal will feature a mix of Brisbane bites and international favourites designed to make the pre-flight experience feel a little more like the holiday itself. We want to thank passengers for their continued patience as we work to transform the International Terminal. There’s already a buzz with these new food and drink outlets, and even more exciting options are just around the corner.”

International travellers departing Brisbane can also enjoy Brooki Bakehouse’s cult-favourite cookies on the go, with the viral social media sensation unveiling the world’s first Brooki Bakehouse cookie vending machine at Brisbane Airport earlier this year.
