Emirates has launched Crypto.com Pay as a new payment option across its digital booking channels, enabling eligible UAE customers to use the digital payment solution when purchasing flights through the airline’s website and mobile app.
The integration allows customers with a Crypto.com account to select Crypto.com Pay at checkout when booking flights priced and settled in Emirati Dirham (AED). Transactions are processed securely in line with UAE regulatory requirements.
The launch follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Emirates and Crypto.com in July 2025 to explore the integration of Crypto.com Pay into the airline’s digital payment systems.
“Bringing this initiative to life delivers on our commitment to expanding customer choice in how they pay for travel,” said Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates. “It also reflects the rapidly evolving preferences of a younger, digitally fluent generation who manage their money and plan their journeys primarily from their phones and expect the airlines they fly with to keep pace.”
The payment integration is designed to provide a seamless checkout experience across both mobile and desktop platforms. Customers booking through the Emirates app can select Crypto.com Pay and complete payment through their Crypto.com wallet before returning to the app to receive their booking confirmation and e-ticket.
Customers booking through emirates.com can select Crypto.com Pay during checkout, scan a QR code and approve the payment through the Crypto.com app before receiving their booking confirmation.
“Partnering with Emirates is a milestone for Crypto.com and our Pay feature, which is renowned for its ease of use and seamless integration,” said Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer, Crypto.com. “This collaboration is a testament to the UAE’s forward-thinking approach to innovation and we’re proud to support Emirates as it embraces the digital payments space.”
The integration is powered by Crypto.com’s Dubai entity, which operates within the UAE’s virtual asset regulatory framework. The initiative also supports Dubai’s wider digital economy ambitions, including the Dubai Cashless Strategy under the D33 Economic Agenda.
For Emirates, the launch represents another step in the airline’s efforts to modernise the digital customer journey, offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience as expectations around online transactions continue to evolve.
