REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Following FTE’s look last week at the future of communications as envisaged by Exicon, mobile specialist SITA provides an insight into the current state, and future course, of the mobile passenger experience.
With 74% of travellers now owning smartphones, FTE talks to Exicon about the future of mobile solutions both up in the air and on the ground.
The two busiest airports in Indonesia have deployed roving check-in desks – described as “check-in desks on wheels” – to ease congestion at peak times.
FTE paid a visit to Madrid-Barajas Airport to experience at first hand the Ágora project – a key part of Iberia’s ambition to make its T4 hub the most user-friendly airport terminal in the world.
As airlines explore more ways to reduce face-to-face contact with passengers at airports, they are also investing in ‘mobile’ service agents to improve customer service.
