Fraport is trialling an autonomous baggage and cargo tractor at Frankfurt Airport to enhance both operational efficiency and its role as “a future-focused company”.

Frankfurt Airport has presented the first vehicle for its new Sky Line people mover, which will link Terminal 1 with the new Terminal 3 when it opens. The first test trips are scheduled for 2023.

The shuttle can carry up to 10 passengers and uses a suite of sensors, including LiDAR, to understand its surroundings and move around safely.
