Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) and Uber have announced a partnership that will provide a convenient and efficient way for passengers to travel to and from Sydney’s new, 24-hour airport from 25 October 2026. Uber will have an exclusive pick-up zone, only 100 metres walk from WSI’s terminal, including 10 kerbside pick-up bays designed for seamless departures. Passengers departing WSI will easily find their way to the Uber pick-up zone, with clear signage and wayfinding throughout the airport terminal and precinct.

“As the countdown continues to the launch of our inaugural passenger services on 25 October, it’s fantastic to have so many options available for passengers to get to and from WSI,” said Simon Hickey, CEO, Western Sydney International Airport. “We know how convenient rideshare is for passengers, being able to order an Uber on demand, with transparent upfront costs and timings applied to your journey. And we are thrilled that WSI’s rideshare services will provide an opportunity for Uber drivers who live in or around Western Sydney to make the most of the chance to work closer to home. The interest and engagement we’ve already had from local rideshare drivers has been terrific, and it’s great that their opportunities to service people travelling to and from WSI will continue to grow, in line with demand, over the months and years ahead.”

Emma Foley, Managing Director for Uber Australia and New Zealand, commented: “Western Sydney International Airport is one of the most anticipated infrastructure projects in the country, and we’re excited to partner with the team from day one. Having built strong ground-transport partnerships with many major airports across Australia, we know how important Uber is in helping travellers connect seamlessly at both ends of their journey, whether they’re flying domestically or internationally. A dedicated Uber pick-up zone at Western Sydney International Airport will give travellers a safe, effortless and welcoming way to continue their journey, while supporting better connections across Western Sydney and beyond. We’re proud to play a role in this next chapter for the West and help keep Sydney moving.”

Uber and WSI will continue to share the airport’s flight schedule with drivers as new routes and services come onboard to ensure driver visibility and availability in line with anticipated passenger demand.
