A Virgin Atlantic led consortium has announced that the world’s first 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel transatlantic flight will take place on 28 November 2023, pending further regulatory approvals and testing.
As part of a new sustainability coalition, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines will provide input to Boeing and NASA on the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator.

Budapest Airport and Wizz Air, in cooperation with fuel suppler MOL, Neste, and RÜK (Airport Fuel Supply Kft.) have started commercially testing SAF supply. The project supports efforts to reduce lifecycle CO2 emissions.
