Lufthansa Group and Shell intend to agree on a contract for a total supply volume of up to 1.8 million tonnes of SAF starting in 2024, over a term of seven years.

TAP Air Portugal, ANA Aeroportos de Portugal and Galp have agreed a strategic partnership to develop, produce and supply sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

The new partnership targets exploring the use of hydrogen for decarbonisation of aircraft operations and the wider airport ecosystem.

Malaysia Airlines will operate its first passenger flight using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) between Kuala Lumpur-Singapore and Singapore-Kuala Lumpur on 5 June 2022.

Cebu Pacific used a blended mixture of sustainable aviation fuel and conventional fuel for the delivery of its brand-new A330neo from Toulouse to Manila.

The agreement comes after KLM operated a service from Schiphol to Edmonton airports as part of the SkyTeam alliance’s Sustainable Flight Challenge.
