The new-look The Pier First Class Lounge, designed by London-based design studio Studioilse, includes eight personal Day Suites with views over the airfield.

Cathay Pacific Airways has re-opened its refurbished The Pier First Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, where premium passengers can now make use of individual Day Suites and complimentary massages while they wait for their flight.

Each of the eight Day Suites in the 2,061sqm lounge is furnished with a comfortable daybed, reading light, mirror, curtains for additional privacy and adjustable lighting and blinds. Each suite also features views over the runway.

Passengers can also make use of foot, neck and shoulder massages, while the Retreat area includes 14 showers, decorated with natural limestone and timber.

Among the other eye-catching features are the Dining Room, which offers à la carte dining for up to 100 guests at a time, and the Library, which provides a relaxing space to read or work on one of six iMacs.

The Pier First Class Lounge is also the first of Cathay Pacific’s lounges to include the carrier’s own bespoke fragrance, which has been created to tie in with the four pillars of the new Cathay Pacific brand ethos – “contemporary Asian, heartfelt warmth, considered simplicity, and the joy of discovery”.
