Marseille Provence Airport partners with Kiwi.com to launch self-connect service

Passengers transferring in Marseille Provence Airport can now benefit from a Smart Pass service that provides access to a fast track through the airport.

Marseille Provence Airport has announced a new partnership with Kiwi.com, the online travel tech company, to provide a self-connect service for passengers travelling through the airport.

Passengers who book their ticket with Kiwi.com with a layover in Marseille Provence Airport can enjoy fast and efficient transfer between their flights. Kiwi.com’s Virtual Interlining platform allows travellers to book unique itineraries with Kiwi.com, which connects carriers that don’t have a codeshare agreement. Marseille Provence Airport then supports those passengers with a smooth transfer experience during their layover.

Passengers transferring in Marseille Provence Airport can benefit from a Smart Pass service that provides access to a fast track through the airport. They will also receive discount vouchers for use in the airport’s duty-free shops and restaurants. The goal of the fast track is to speed the connection time, optimise the stopover traffic, and, as a result, improve the passenger experience.

Julien Boullay, Commercial and Marketing Director, Marseille Provence Airport, said: “Thanks to this cooperation with Kiwi.com we are now able to support self-connecting passengers at our airport and offer them a great experience. The layover option will facilitate customer experience with natural routing connecting via Marseille, such as flights from Corsica to Britany due to our prime location between the Mediterranean Sea and the rest of France.”

Patrick Zeuner, Head of Airport Partnerships, Kiwi.com, also commented: “Every month we are increasing our Hosted Stopover Program alliances and today Marseille Provence Airport joined our growing family of partner airports in making the transfer experience a choice rather than an inconvenience. Today, more than ever, travellers seek greater choice, flexibility and efficiency and this initiative supports just that.”
