The Airline Passenger Experience Association has announced the first certified airlines for its APEX Health Safety initiative powered by SimpliFlying.
Riga Airport has introduced a mobile, contactless COVID-19 testing point to make it more convenient for passengers and employees to access tests.
Air New Zealand operated its first quarantine-free flight from Auckland to Brisbane on 7 January with passengers not required to quarantine on arrival.
Swissport subsidiary Checkport Schweiz and Ender Diagnostics have opened a PCR testing centre at Zurich Airport with results available within five hours.
The new partnership will provide frequent flyers with biometric identity verification at a number of airports, creating a more touchless travel experience.
The IATA Travel Pass, scheduled for release in Q1 2021, is being developed with data security, convenience and verification as top priorities, says IATA.Â
