JFKIAT – the operator of Terminal 4 at JFK Airport – in partnership with SSP America – has announced the opening of Hunt & Fish Club, New York’s quintessential American steakhouse. The restaurant’s opening comes amid JFKIAT’s ongoing transformation of T4’s commercial programme and a fresh new line-up of food and beverage options. The expansion plan brings the unique and special feel of New York City’s culture straight to the terminal, elevating the passenger experience through food, beverage, and retail offerings.
The new space provides passengers with a refined dining experience, featuring classic cuts of beef, fresh seafood, innovative dishes, and expertly crafted cocktails. Created especially for the T4 location, a tailored breakfast menu offers early travellers a range of options to kickstart their day. Drawing inspiration from the original Manhattan flagship, the space also brings together classic elegance, boutique sophistication, and contemporary casual dining in a polished, upscale setting for an international audience. Hunt & Fish Club at T4 seats 80 customers and includes an overall experience that is designed to be warm, social, and inviting.
“Bringing Hunt & Fish Club to Terminal 4 is another step in our commercial programme’s transformation, giving our passengers a classic, authentic New York experience that locals and visitors alike will enjoy,” said Roel Huinink, Chief Executive Officer, JFKIAT. “This restaurant embodies the hospitality-driven, New York-inspired identity we’re building into every new addition at T4. We’re honoured to continue partnering with SSP America in bringing world-class hospitality to our passengers, and we look forward to continuing to transform the terminal experience.”
The opening at T4 marks the latest chapter in Hunt & Fish Club’s partnership with SSP America, following the 2023 opening of Hunt & Fish Grill at LaGuardia Airport. The new location features a curated collection of artwork throughout the restaurant, helping translate the Hunt & Fish identity into the space through imagery and details that evoke classic American sporting traditions and New York club culture.
“New York is a city defined by unforgettable dining experiences, and Hunt & Fish Club brings that unmistakable sense of place to JFK Terminal 4,” said George Mboya, CEO, SSP America. “We’re proud to build on our collaboration with Nelson Braff and the Hunt & Fish Club team and appreciate our dedicated colleagues who helped bring this opening to life. As JFK continues its dynamic transformation into a world-class gateway here in Terminal 4 and throughout the airport complex, we are grateful to JFKIAT and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for our evolving partnerships that reflect our values at their best – working together to deliver great food, heartfelt hospitality, and a memorable experience that helps make every passenger’s time in the terminal the best part of the journey.”
The redevelopment of T4 is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion transformation of JFK Airport into a world-class gateway, with two new terminals, two expanded and modernised terminals, a new ground transportation centre and an entirely new, simplified roadway network.
