KID-Systeme GmbH goes green

KID-Systeme announces its step towards sustainability and thus a change in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In times of global warming and climate debates, it is up to every single person to contribute something for the future and the following generations. The fact that the aircraft industry is at the forefront of this debate is a sign for companies to act now in a correct and appropriate manner.

With the beginning of 2020, KID-Systeme took the path to sustainability and thus facing up to its responsibility towards future generations. In this context, the company will neutralize its own Co2- emissions.

With its service in areas such as “Seat Power”, “On-Board Connectivity” and “Security & Safety”, KID-Systeme GmbH is one of the market-leading suppliers of cabin electronics in the aircraft industry. The company’s customers include all major players such as Airbus and Embraer.

The German-based company is taking a conscious step towards sustainability together with the Swiss organisation “carbon-connect AG”. This cooperation enables KID-Systeme GmbH to support various projects and to take its ecological footprint to the next level of improvement. The debate about sustainability in the aircraft industry is thus to be counteracted.

The first project is already in place. Through the cooperation with “carbon-connect AG”, KID-Systeme is able to support the conservation of the rainforest in Brazil and to ensure by planting new trees that future generations will also benefit from this natural phenomenon.

KID-Systeme GmbH also focuses on sustainable product development. “Corporate Social Responsibility will continue to strongly shape our business in the future,” says Managing Director Peter Schetschine. “We are committed to our social and ecological responsibility as part of sustainable business and are setting a good example”.
