Airline and airport CIOs prioritise digitalisation and sustainability investment, according to new findings from SITA’s 2021 Air Transport IT Insights.
The companies will be working together to use advanced analytics and AI to measure and benchmark Etihad’s environmental footprint.
The taskforce, launched in partnership with Boston Consulting Group, aims to accelerate breakthroughs in emerging technologies to decarbonise aviation.

The flight is part of the Etihad Greenliner Programme – a two-year partnership between Etihad and Boeing using the airline’s 787 fleet as a test bed for sustainability improvements.
A total of 42 easyJet flights from Gatwick Airport will be powered by a 30% blend of SAF, including all flights to Glasgow during COP26.
