SAS introducing major upgrade to Business Class product for enhanced travel experience

SAS is introducing a major upgrade to its Business Class product, giving business travellers and other premium customers an enhanced travel experience by rapidly expanding access to high-quality lounges at key destinations.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines is introducing a major upgrade to its Business Class product, giving business travellers and other premium customers an enhanced travel experience. By partnering with established lounge operators, SAS is rapidly expanding access to high-quality lounges at key destinations, ensuring customers benefit from comfort, service, and seamless solutions on par with international standards across the SkyTeam alliance.

The initiative also represents a significant step in SAS’ long-term strategy to strengthen its premium offer. By integrating more lounges into the network, the airline is creating a smoother and more consistent journey for travellers, laying the groundwork for continued improvements in the overall customer experience.

“This is a comprehensive upgrade of our Business Class offer, with lounge access as a key part of the experience,” said Theres Briger, Head of Onground Product, SAS. “By partnering with established lounge operators, we can quickly give our customers access to a much broader network at important destinations across Europe and Scandinavia. The goal is to offer around 35 additional lounges at year-round destinations, and we already have agreements in place in cities such as Bergen, Helsinki, Billund, Stavanger and Aalborg.”

The first partner lounges will open from 1 October 2025, with additional locations added throughout the autumn. Work is already underway to secure access at destinations such as Nice, Malaga, Palma, Lisbon, Venice, Florence, Naples, Malta, Madrid, Milan Linate, Manchester, Edinburgh, Prague, Krakow and Keflavik.

“Our ambition is to have as much as possible in place by October 1, while recognising this is a dynamic process where new agreements will be finalised step by step,” said Briger. “This means some destinations are already ready, while others will follow throughout the autumn. We will keep customers continuously informed about which lounges are available, ensuring they can plan their journey with ease and receive the experience they expect.”

The initiative builds on SAS’ strong integration into the SkyTeam alliance, ensuring that the expanded lounge offer aligns seamlessly with the broader premium experience available across the network.
