Changi Airport and Jewel are kicking-off the ‘Year of the Horse’ with a stable of festive offerings. The celebrations are headlined by mythical animatronic horses at Jewel and intricate horticultural displays across Changi’s terminals. This year, visitors can also soak in the festive atmosphere at the first-ever Lunar New Year bazaar and enjoy an array of dining and shopping specials.
In celebration of the 2026 zodiac, a pair of mythical horses take centre stage with a floral arch at Jewel’s Forest Valley. Brought to life through advanced animatronics, the horses feature lifelike movements, creating a dynamic display that moves in harmony with larger-than-life kinetic floral elements.
Changi will usher in springtime with eye-catching Fire Horse sculptures and horticultural displays at 10 locations across Terminals 1, 2 and 3, transforming the airport into a vibrant celebration of prosperity and fiery festive energy.
These displays celebrate the auspicious themes of strength, vitality and good fortune, complemented by motifs of prosperity such as gold ingots and Chinese coins. A highlight is the Celosia argentea cultivars, commonly known as Plume Celosia, that will be featured prominently. Its dense, flame-shaped upright flowers in vibrant red and yellow resemble flames, symbolising prosperity and new beginnings.
To accommodate additional flights at Changi and the surge in Lunar New Year travel, Changi Lounge at Jewel (Level 1) will operate 24 hours daily from 17 February to 4 March. During this period, the lounge will elevate its dining offerings with a bountiful buffet of festive Asian delicacies for all lounge guests.
Adding to the festive activities, on 7 and 8 February, visitors who make a purchase at Changi Airport Group’s ‘HUATticulture’ plant booth will have the opportunity to participate in a guided session to interact with miniature therapy horses and learn about their calming effects.
Meanwhile, Jewel will set the stage for tradition during the festive period with Lion Dance and LED Dragon Dance performances.
