  • Edinburgh Airport dining expands with the opening of Giraffe, offering a globally inspired all day menu for travellers.
  • New Giraffe restaurant provides 179 seats plus a takeaway concept to enhance passenger choice and convenience.
  • Passenger experience upgrade aligns with demand for high quality, flexible food options across leisure, family and business travel segments.

Edinburgh Airport – a member of the FTE World Ancillary & Retailing Working Group – has welcomed the opening of a new casual dining experience. The Giraffe restaurant is the latest to join the airport’s food and beverage offering and will serve an extensive all-day menu, including international cuisines from Asian street food to classic American burgers.

Located near Gate 6, the restaurant offers 179 seats in a modern and relaxed space, designed to accommodate a broad mix of passengers, including families, leisure travellers and business travellers.

Giraffe will also offer a takeaway service, Giraffe Stop, with a dedicated grab and go area allowing passengers to pick up freshly prepared food and snacks to enjoy on the move or take onboard their flight.

“We know people are hungry to travel and we want to cater for that,” said Stephanie Wear, Chief Commercial Officer, Edinburgh Airport. “Bringing Giraffe to the airport adds to the strong family offer of food and drink options we have for passengers. With both a full-service restaurant and a convenient takeaway option, it gives passengers international cuisine with flexibility and choice – and full stomachs before heading off on that well-earned break.”

Richard Pigott, Managing Director at Giraffe, commented: “We’re thrilled to be opening Giraffe at Edinburgh Airport, bringing our vibrant, globally inspired menu to one of the UK’s busiest travel hubs. Airports are all about discovery and adventure, which makes Edinburgh the perfect location for Giraffe as a brand built around flavours from around the world. We’re excited to welcome both international travellers and local passengers, offering a relaxed dining experience before take-off, whilst maintaining a strong partnership with the TRGC team.”

Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC, added: “We’re very excited to be partnering with Giraffe on our sixth site together and to be bringing the first casual dining experience to Edinburgh Airport. We know that passengers are increasingly seeking more than just convenience before they fly and this opening reflects our shared ambition to deliver standout, high-quality dining concepts that enhance the airport experience.”
