American Airlines has selected RECARO Aircraft Seating’s R2 for its Embraer 175 aircraft. Tailored to meet the needs of short and mid-range flights, the R2 was selected for its pre-certification qualifications and ability to meet American’s entry into service timeline. Designed with passenger comfort in mind, the seat features a tablet holder and six-way adjustable headrest for a more relaxed and personalised inflight experience. Its slim backrest design also maximises personal space and knee clearance, helping create a more comfortable experience onboard. Seats will be outfitted with the airline’s signature dress covers, customised to complement the fleets’ new interior finishes.
