In the Netflix era, when someone joins a virtual event they shouldn’t have to wait until a specific time to see the content they are really interested in. When you log in to the Virtual Expo event you will be presented with a wealth of content options there and then. In addition to the Auditorium, our OnDemand Speaker Zone will deliver high-level content with an array of pre-recorded contributions specially prepared for the show, allowing the speakers to dive deeper on key topics and case studies.
Tech-enhanced virtual workshop
This unique workshop will be delivered in partnership with digital transformation enabler Neutral Digital, whose expert team will create a customised and highly interactive break-out space where advanced digital technologies (including VR, AR and XR) will be showcased to inspire the audience on the myriad possibilities presented by immersive and interactive digital technologies.
Virtual Expo Trailblazer Showcase
The Trailblazer Showcase will provide a unique platform for innovators and disruptors from across the air transport sector to highlight how their pioneering products, services, concepts and visions can help to support the industry’s advancement and the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis in the short, medium and long term.
Our judges will select the very best video presentations to share with our audience in the OnDemand Speaker Zone during Virtual Expo.
AVIATIONVSCOVID19 – A virtual innovation challenge
FTE, APEX & IFSA were proud to be a Strategic Partner of the AVIATIONVSCOVID19 Virtual Innovation Challenge, a first-of-its-kind global challenge organised by zeroG and Lufthansa Consulting in collaboration with Impact Week.
This 60-hour innovation challenge brought together 55 aviation enthusiasts and professionals from around the world (19 countries representing 38 companies) in a virtual setting to collaborate in trans-disciplinary teams and re-imagine the future of the air travel experience during and post COVID-19 using Design Thinking and user-centric design toolkits. The amazing ideas from the top 3 teams will be shared in our OnDemand zone at Virtual Expo.
Virtual Networking Sessions
Premium Pass holders will be presented with an authentic, human experience with real-time, face-to-face interaction that makes this virtual networking approach feel as natural and fun as it should be. Attendees can navigate their way around a networking arena and join tables where interaction is focused around specific industry topics, so you can meet, engage and share ideas and experiences with other peers interested in the same subjects as you. There are never more than 8 participants at a table to keep conversations manageable, and you can move between tables to broaden your learning and the number of contacts you make.

Future Travel Experience (FTE) and the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) will jointly host the industry trade show with the widest global attendance in 2021, FTE APEX Virtual Expo. Through a diverse exhibition showcasing the industry’s most forward thinking vendors and all-encompassing conference sessions, Virtual Expo will deliver a wealth of networking opportunities and inspiration across the most pertinent topics – from transforming the travel experience through digital health passports and automation at the airport, through to enhancing the onboard experience through inflight entertainment and connectivity, interiors, service and catering, hospitality and retail.
