Japan Airlines and Panasonic Avionics have revealed features of the inflight entertainment (IFE) system, digital solutions, and connectivity service installed on the carrier’s new Airbus A350-1000 fleet.

In this interview, Yelena Obukhova, Vice-President Inflight Services, Air Astana, shares insights into the airline’s focus on personalisation, inflight entertainment, sustainability and emerging technologies.

LATAM Airlines now has free and exclusive Paramount+ content on its LATAM Play onboard entertainment service. It is the first South American airline to feature Paramount+ content in its onboard service.

As part of its “commitment to offer an unparalleled entertainment experience” Cathay Pacific has announced it is the first airline in Asia-Pacific to feature Disney+ Original titles as part of its IFE.

Air Serbia is to trial Bluebox’s Blueview digital passenger services platform. Deployed on Airbus and ATR aircraft, Blueview will allow passengers to stream IFE content directly to their own devices.

Cyprus Airways has deployed AirFi’s wireless inflight entertainment across its fleet of Airbus aircraft, enabling passengers to access digital entertainment on their personal electronic devices.

Saudia has partnered with Intigral, a leading digital entertainment provider in the MENA region and a subsidiary of stc Group, to stream its TV content onboard, as it aims to “enrich the travel experience”.

Porter Airlines has announced that inflight connectivity and wireless IFE from Viasat (a Gold Sponsor of FTE APEX Asia Expo, 8-9 November 2023, Singapore) will be installed on an additional 20 new E195-E2s.

Air Corsica has selected Moment (an exhibitor at FTE APEX Asia Expo, 8-9 November 2023, Singapore) to install its inflight entertainment system, the Flymingo Box, onboard the airline’s fleet by end-2023.
