SAS completes Starlink connectivity rollout across A320neo fleet

SAS has completed its Starlink WiFi rollout across all 81 A320neo aircraft, bringing high-speed connectivity to a significant share of its European flights, with preparations now underway to equip its remaining fleet.

With all 81 A320neo aircraft now equipped, high-speed WiFi from Starlink is available on a significant share of SAS’ European flights. Through SAS’ partnership with 3, EuroBonus members can access the service free of charge, whether they want to work, stream, stay in touch or simply browse the internet throughout their journey.

When SAS launched Starlink in March 2026, the ambition was to move quickly and bring high-speed connectivity to as many customers as possible. Six months later, the airline has completed the installation across its entire A320neo fleet.

“Today, the installation across our entire A320neo fleet is complete, in record time,” said Paul Verhagen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, SAS. “Bringing high-speed connectivity to these aircraft means many of our customers can enjoy a better-connected journey. Being connected has become a natural part of everyday life, and that doesn’t change when we board a plane. With gate-to-gate connectivity, our customers have more freedom to choose how they spend their time travelling with us.”

The installations have been carried out alongside SAS’ normal flight operations, with each aircraft undergoing installation, testing and approval before returning to service.

The A320neo fleet represents around 70% of SAS’ total fleet and forms the backbone of SAS’ European network, operating a large share of flights across Scandinavia and Europe. The completion of the A320neo rollout also makes it the first aircraft type in the SAS fleet to be fully equipped with Starlink.

SAS is now moving ahead with the next phase of its Starlink rollout, with installation preparations progressing for the remaining aircraft types and further installations planned before the end of the year.
