REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Virgin Australia has launched a baggage tracking tool across more than two thirds of its domestic network, allowing travellers to know where their bag is at every step of the journey to deliver a seamless CX.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, an Airport Lab Network Partner of the FTE Baggage Innovation Working Group, has purchased 30 new lifting aids as it continues to improve working conditions in the baggage hall.
easyJet has expanded its twilight bag drop service to Glasgow Airport, as part of new customer initiatives “for a quicker and easier journey”. The service is free for travellers on early morning flights.
Icelandair is to launch the Crew Solution from BAGTAG – a Strategic Partner of the FTE BIWG. After a successful PoC, it is introducing the innovation to “streamline processes and offer smooth journeys”.

Melbourne Airport is expanding its International Terminal and installing a new state-of-the-art baggage processing system “to track every bag at every moment of the journey from check-in to the aircraft”.
TUI has started offering a home pick-up baggage service in collaboration with Bagpoint. The service is available for all flights booked via TUI that depart from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and for which online check-in is possible.
Austrian Airlines passengers travelling from Vienna Airport can now check-in baggage in advance and have it delivered to their destination airport. The at-home baggage check-in and delivery service is provided by AirPortr.
