Passengers departing from MIA can now deposit their bags quicker and easier than ever before
Baggage handling at airports across Asia is set to receive a boost, courtesy of IT solutions giants Unisys’ latest enhancements.
The major modernisation and expansion project will see the implementation of 15 new IT solutions to optimise operations at Bogota El Dorado Airport.
Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines have launched a pilot project that will allow passengers on intra-European flights to check-in their own baggage.
Vanderlande will supply state-of-the-art baggage handling equipment to Guarulhos, Brazil’s busiest airport, ahead of the World Cup in 2014.
The passenger experience of the future is one that is personalised, portable and full of flexibility says IATA’s Head of Passenger Experience Paul Behan, who gave FTE his insight into the airport journey of 2020 ahead of his participation in FTE Asia 2013 in May.
