The new Emirates Pay solution, developed by IATA and Deutsche Bank, will allow passengers to purchase flight tickets without using their credit or debit card.
Munich Airport has become the first location in Europe to offer this cashless payment process for customers, creating a convenient digital shopping experience.
Having introduced both Alipay and China Union Pay, Budapest Airport and Heinemann Duty Free have now rolled out WeChat Pay for Chinese passengers.
Finnair is the first airline in the world to allow passengers to pay for in-flight purchases using Alipay, which is popular among Chinese travellers.
FTE spoke to Singapore Airlines’ Wilson Yong about the new partnership with First Great Western and Heathrow Express that allows passengers to travel with all three companies on a single booking.
