Monarch has introduced its new wireless IFE system, MPlayer, which offers passengers paid access to movies and music via their own electronic devices.
China Eastern Airlines will be the first Chinese carrier to offer onboard Wi-Fi, with a trial planned on two of its A330s flying between Hongqiao and Beijing.
Passengers on domestic routes will soon be able to make use of in-flight connectivity, as Japan Airlines starts the rollout of Wi-Fi on 77 domestic aircraft.
UK-based leisure carrier Monarch will introduce non-reclining seats with built-in tablet holders across its fleet in response to feedback from its customers.
The first two-class A330 has been added to the Philippine Airlines fleet, and it includes flat-bed seats, wireless IFE and Wi-Fi connectivity.
SilkAir has launched SilkAir Studio – a wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) system that allows passengers to stream movies on their laptops, smartphones and tablets.
