The £80 million Pier 5 redevelopment has seen gate areas extended, arriving and departing passenger flows separated, and the number of aircraft stands increased.
The new First Class Lounge will open at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal 3 in May 2016, becoming the airline’s fourth premium lounge at its home hub.
The project includes a new and expanded security screening area, a landside reconfiguration and the introduction of a new passenger lounge and retail hub.
Passengers flying from Portland will soon be able to catch a short movie in the airport’s new cinema, which is due to open in Spring 2016.
Quiet zones, family-friendly facilities and dedicated lounges for PRMs and unaccompanied minors will feature in the new satellite terminal.
The new domestic terminal, which will open on 22 November, “sets a new standard in customer experience”, according to Perth Airport’s CEO.
